Workout named after Wangari Maathai, the badass founder of the Green Belt Movement, political activist, and author. She was the first woman in East and Central Africa to earn her doctorate and went on the become the first African woman to win a Nobel Peace Prize. The Green Belt Movement fought to replenish the earth, create sustainable development, and for women’s rights.

Happiness Practice: A Little Self Recognition 

Set a timer for 5 minutes and either close your eyes and meditate on or take out a piece of paper and jot down everything you are proud of yourself for accomplishing, engaging with, or habits you've created. It can be anything from solving an insane mathematical equation at work to making time to prep the coffee the night before so you wake up to the beautiful smell of java. All the big, the small, and everything between! Taking time to recognize all the good you do in your life is crucial to strengthening that badass self-compassion, love, and empathy toward others. Plus, you're amazing and should be recognized!
